Minna no Nihongo is a Japanese language books series featuring textbooks and workbooks published by Three A Network and is one of the series recommend to study for the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test). I'm still very positive about this method. However, I feel the chapters on 'keigo' in this particular volume were very shallow; even in their tiny font for chapter 49, you didn't get more than a very general introduction to this very difficult part of the Japanese language. I'd almost say they should have published a separate, smaller volume just for keigo, although that may be a bit of a stretch. Other than that, I feel the volumes are very clear and handy in use, especially with all the refere I'm still very positive about this method. Other than that, I feel the volumes are very clear and handy in use, especially with all the reference lists in the back. In my school, we no were no longer given vocabulary lists after level 2 so this was helpful in level 3 as I completed the last portion of the book. It's nice to know exactly which words you're meant to be studying or know before they come up in class and you're sitting there feeling like a lackwit. The grammar notes also add several points not covered in the textbook and they include vocabulary and culture notes which are really convenient to know as well.
